The Marion Reformed Fellowship is a ministry of Sycamore Reformed Presbyterian church which is located in Kokomo, Indiana. Over the years the congregation of Sycamore RPC has enjoyed the blessing of God. The fruit of that blessing is seen in its steady growth and influence in the area. Likewise, some of the growth has come from people who live in Marion, Indiana and travel to Kokomo every Lord’s day.
One of the guiding passages of scripture for Sycamore RPC has been Jeremiah 17:7-8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD.
For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream
and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought
nor cease to yield fruit.”
Here are three principles we have tried with the Lord’s help to accomplish.
• Seeking to build godly character into the lives of our members by maintaining an atmosphere of love, fellowship and accountability.
• Bringing the good news of the kingdom of God to our family, friends, community, and the world that the elect may hear, repent and believe.
• Sending equipped laborers into the world so that other churches would be established.
The fruit that is yielded here in the text are the people who God places his church. ”Sending equipped laborers into the world so that other churches can be established” is the vision for Marion.
